FLOWERS AND CAMERAS

Flowers and Cameras. A block east of Sunset and Vine, Pete’s Flowers Shop and Morgan Camera Shop were holdouts of Hollywood past. The building was constructed in the late 1930s and shortly after Gilbert and Willard Morgan opened Morgan Camera Shop. The Morgan brothers were real pioneers of the art of photography right when photography was becoming something anyone could do. Even with that impact, the end for the camera shop in the early 2000 was slow and went largely unnoticed. The main parts of the building are still there, but they are boarded up and painted over.
