Yeah, so that's what happened
A life lived by Ashley Noelle

What would you do with a lifetime of confusion you couldn't escape from?
In her debut memoir, Yeah, So That’s What Happened: A Life Lived by Ashley Noelle, Noelle tells her story from a childhood marked by abuse and fear, to a teenager who trusted herself and ended up in the big city of Los Angeles. In true Hollywood fashion, Noelle marries a musician and starts a family in Laurel Canyon, but life quickly becomes very real in the town where make-believe thrives. With no choice but to be a fearless young mother, once on her own with her two daughters, Noelle begins an adventure that feels very Jackie Collins at times. After meeting Julius Shulman and then Mohamed Hadid, Noelle grows into a strong, very determined artist. We follow her as she tries everything she can to make a name for herself, and we hope right along with her that she finally finds the place where she belongs.

Heartbreak and confusion are threads that linger throughout her story, but Noelle pivots and resets, over and over again, and the reader understands the full weight of her phoenix rising from the ashes. Even with all the challenges and disappointments, we still hope the next pivot will finally be the one that sets her free.

If you've ever followed your heart and given something your all, only to be met with difficulty and betrayal, but you kept going... this book is for you.

About the Author
Hi, I'm Ashley. I’m an artist, and now - a writer, who lives in Los Angeles, California. I'll be honest, I never imagined I would write a book, let alone one about my life, but things happened...and I found myself doing just that. I have no real experience with serious writing, so, like all my other creative endeavors, I jumped in the deep end and wrote an epic novel. I spent 2 months writing, some days for up to 12 hours straight. It was an emotional roller coaster to relive those really hard experiences, and bittersweet to remember things I wish I could go back and savor a bit more. Then I spent months and months editing. Now, I'm ready to let this work go and watch it become whatever it's meant to be. It's scary, but I have a good feeling about it.
