LET THEM PLAY

 
Let Them Play. When it was over for everyone's childhood toy store, I made sure to go the my favorite location in the Valley. I liked that the parking lot was empty and you could see the wear in each spot. I imagined the excitement of kids running for those doors, and how many parents sat in that parking lot trying to open impossible to open toys. By chance, or fate, the exit sign was still lit. That seemed fitting since it was the end for the much loved store. Then, while it had my attention, I watched the exit light shut off. That was it.
